Default Fault Codes 62-1 & 62-2

Ive recently had my engine light on my 2002 HRV come on and have had the following fault codes diagnosed:

62-1 open circuited In Passenger Seat Belt Buckle Switch
62-2 short circuited In Passenger Seat Belt Buckle Switch

My car is not fitted with the seat belt warning light or buzzer and there does not appear to be any wires under the seat which make me think that the error code is actually being caused by something else? My local garage are unable to fix the problem and have advised I go to Honda but I suspect this would cost me dearly so would like to attempt to diagnose and fix it myself.

Does anyone have any suggestions of anything I can have a look at or try?

Take it to HONDA and ask for a proposal to repair.

Then you might decide by yourself if you should try to "guess" and repair the error code but at least you will know what you are looking for
