Default 2012 CRV Tires

I just noticed that the England/USA CRV's comes with Continnetal tires while the Japanese ones comes with Bridgestones. Can anyone confirm? Mines was the Japanese and got Bridgestones.

I too have the bridgestones. Not sure where my CRV came from. I'll check the window sticker when I get home tonight.

Tirerack has the OEM tires listed as either the bridgestone or continentals: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...&filterType=oe

I know I asked someone here who has a black CR-V in Canada how the tires were in snow but didn't know it was mandatory for Canadians to run snow tires. The owner said that his/her CR-V came with the continentals.

My bad...again not familiar with laws in Canada

Was just letting the OP know that it seems like Canada CR-V's also have the continental tires.

I'm the one Carfanatic and my CRV EX AWD ( built in Canada ) did come with the Continentals, but as W.T. pointed out, winter tires are mandatory in Quebec, so I had the dealer throw in 4 x Toyo GSI5, which they agreed on doing for free ( $1000CAD worth of tires ) to keep my business ( previously had a 2006 Si coupe and a 2008 Si sedan ).

If your VIN starts with a "J" it's from Japan. Mine is Japanese and came with Bridgestones. Crystal Black Pearl.

Chris that's right, it was you

I'm a believer in winter tires. I run winter tires even though they aren't required here in NJ. It's night and day versus driving all season tires in the winter. I'm not saying you can't get by with all season tires but they aren't the same in snow and ice. Ok it's spring and i'm talking about snow tires
