Default Seat Belt Chime

Is there a procedure to over-ride the seatbelt chime that goes on every 2 minutes or so on a 2009-2010 Pilot? I already tried a search but the thread turned into a political debate. Please keep opinions to yourself and only post if you are able to help. Thanks in advance.

You mean that chimes if you don't buckle your seatbelt?

No override that I'm aware of. Two possible solutions...

1. locate the device that makes the chiming sound and put electrical tape on it to muffle the sound.
2. buckle the seat belt and then sit on top of it.

Thanks Racoon. I was kind of afraid those would be my only options. If all fails I will do method #1. When I asked my salesman about turning off the chime he told me that there is a way (similar to programming the auto lock/unlock features), but he is legally not allowed to show me (which really sparked my curiousity). Unfortunately there is nothing out there on google about it either. I have an appointment to see the salesman again this Friday - going to see if I can maybe get him to show me the method "off the record".

I highly doubt there is a way to program it to be off.

According to the service manager, there is no way to disable the initial series of chimes (when you first start the car) but it is possible to turn off the consequent chimes via a similar procedure to turning off the daytime running lamps. All nice to know but he will not do it on my vehicle.
