Im looking at getting some roof rails not roof racks !. as i thinkit finishes the roof off nicley, Has any one got these. Click the pic for direct link. ![]() BUT .... Did these ever come on the CRV MK2/ MK2.5 as a honda accessory If i got these will i still be able to use a roof rack, if so what one? I have the OEM roof rack, or as you called it "rails".
It is just two pieces of aluminum that run across the roof in the front and the rear. I have used them once to bring two large replacement windows from Lowes. They are also available from the market place on here.

there is a difference between a roof rack and roof rails. so what one did you have
here is a roof rack ![]() here are the roof rails..

0n Gen 2 models the bar mounting points are fixed, If you intsall these rails, you will at least have flexibility in where you mount the bars, that is assuming you want to carry gear on the roof, and the rails are up to it. I do like the look of these rails imo, but am not sure on how high subsequent roof boxes/baskets etc would be with cross bars mounted on top of them. From a cosmetic point of view they look nice though. |

Based on that pic, at least with those particular rails, you won't have much flexibility on where you mount the bars.
