http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...PA11H2Y&tp=120 unit. I already had $80 in credit from Crutchfield, and a $20 off $100 coupon (3A706) helped sway me towards a $50 iPOD integration system. According to the manual, I will be able to control the iPOD from the steering wheel controls, but no read out on the screen, just track number or playlist number. If anyone is interested, you can use my referral code: pkc0u-1sw2y-kx8gf to get $20 off your first order. Details of the offer are here: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-PZt5ljj...end/index.html

I would not mind paying for a gadget which allows me to See the Song Title on the Radio Display And be able to control the song via the steering wheel.
So far I have been using a "Low Tech Link"... ...Right hand reach over for the Ipod on passenger seat to skip to the next song. Turning head is not necessary... just go by feel, Eh? Can't complaint much since this is the Low Cost version Auto trans has some disadvantages compared to M/T but this is the good side of it. Milano

The unit manual says that it plugs into the XM port. Crutchfield says that it does fit the vehicle, I even called them to confirm. It will be here today, so, we'll find out if it indeed works. I am not a big fan of iPOD per se, but the integration with the steering wheel controls is what drew me to it, and the fact that iPOD has been collecting dust since I bought the Sansa player.

I can confirm that it does work. I wanted to keep the factory look so I picked up a 2005 CRV headunit to use in my 2004.
I too would have loved for it to display the song title, but other than that, it works pretty well. The AUX IN on the USA SPEC unit is nice too. |

Yeap, the unit works. The install is pretty straight forward.
Here is what is in the kit: Radio cable with signal splitter, converter/controller, iPOD cable. ![]() Remove the two screws at the bottom of the radio bezel. ![]() Remove the 4 bolts holding the radio. ![]() Here is what the original cable looked like. ![]() And the new cable, which retains the ability to receive XM signal, should I spring for the Honda receiver. ![]() I decided to mount the unit on the passenger side of the glove box. ![]() I decided to feed the wire through the back of the cubby. I went without the decorative plate to save me from drilling holes in in. ![]() The new unit works in hybrid mode now, where you don't lose the iPOD controls when plugged in, in addition to the radio and steering wheel controls.

Thanks for the pics
I hope the radio on Gen3 is easy to remove as for Gen2/2.5 For $130 = 150 -20 new customer + shipping.... it is a little pricey for me. I have seen it on Ebay for a lot less. I guess, when my right arm get tired from reaching over for the Ipod on the passenger seat, I will break down like you and get the cable They do sell Ipod holder which can be taped to the dash. This will allow the user to see the song and still have eyes on the road but the mod won't look OEM, Eh? Milano
