Question 100K mile service - what can I do myself?

Hey guys!

My 99 has 100k on it and I wanted to do a service myself one afternoon, but not sure what it entails...I imagine plugs, pcv valve....but I need an exhaustive list from those knowledgeable of parts I will need to buy, where I can get them, and for how much.

Thanks!

Adjust your valves to the loose side. I can tell you to do that.

Other than what I just said, I suggest you search because this has been discussed before.

Unhappy

I did try to do a search for 100k mile service, but strangely came up with nothing...also, pardon my ignorance, but not sure what you mean when you say the loose side...(btw, nice choice in rides - I've got a 93LE miata in my stable as well)

I don't know the exact parts list for a G1 CR-V, sorry.

The B20 in your CR-V can burn valves if they are not adjusted regularly. They should be adjusted every 30K and if you don't you can burn the valves because they tighten up. That is why you set them on the loose side of the specs.

Thanks for the compliment. I actually just picked up the Miata about two weeks ago, I really like it! It is nice to have a RWD car in the stable.

I believe the OWNER's MANUAL has a list of what is needed for 105,000 mile service.

100k list should be your own?

100k here you'll find most of your answers but I am notsure what I am looking at , can you tell me?

as well as some videos you may need to refrence?

so come back and tell us what you want?

I suggest
1 checking the tires, brakes lines, belts hoses?

I suggest you change out:
the oil and filter air filter, ac cabin filter, tranny fluids rear dif flush, brake bleeding power steer bleeding,

I suggest you decide on the antifreeze to change as it is near?

I suggest you run the Air conditioner and check it as well?

I inspect the timing belt and if needed change with the water pump it is a 50/50 call on the valves if you preferre to have them adjusted you may do so but as the book states valve call is again a judgement call as all other parts

last thing I shall say if it is external the gas filter but some may not be located or is that the pump changed
