Default Buy Pilot 2007 now? or wait for Pilot 2008?

I went to my local dealer in VA Beach yesterday. The salesguy says the 2008 Pilot will get a new look.

I saw some spy photos here but someone said that wasnt really a 2008 Pilot. Anyways, anyone have any ideas what will change? We've been wanting to buy a Pilot but we dont want to buy the 2007 if 2008 will be changed dratically because the 2007 would feel "old"

Any thoughts?

The current Pilot is still a fantastic vehicle, and you are more likely to get a great price on it than the upcoming 2008 Pilot.

What will change???? Everything. It is a complete redesign, which means new model.

It is up to you, if you want the latest and greatest or if you want to save a few bucks and still get a solid vehicle.

EDIT: 10 posts away from 5000!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes the redesign will get you into trouble, its kinda like buying the first model year, there are usually design bugs that haven't been worked out.

2008 Pilot is out. I do not see any exterior modifications at all. It look exactly the same as the 2007 model. Go for the 2007 model. I bought my Pilot EX-L back in April got a great deal ($2000 under dealers invoice) on it and I love the SUV.

The 2008 Pilot is no different then the 2007.

The new design will be introduced in 2009.

The G2 Pilot will be introduced as a 2009 in 2008. Earlier it was believed that the G2 Pilot would be released in the end of 2007 or early 2008.

Dang! No redesign?!?!
All that hype and wait for nothing?

Oh well.. we got the 07 Mazda3 to replace our 94 Honda Del Sol.
We have a 99 CRV too.

I'm kinda glad I didnt end up with the Pilot for now,
cuz Id be broke on gas with the Pilot (18mpg) and CRV (22mpg).

I think we'll consider trading the 99 CRV for 2009/2010 Pilot later on.

Mazda3 (28 mpg) for in-town commute car.
Pilot for when visitors come, out of state trips and Home Depot trips.

Spy photos for the 2008 (2009) Pilot are out. It is basically a re-badged Acura MDX with a bit less power and a much lower price tag. I think the "old" body style (06/07) looks better than the MDX platform. They chopped too much roof off in the back.

The 2007 is an awesome rig - - ours is almost a year old now, but still not broken in. We're getting about 19 - 20 MPG on the highway.
