Default I cant find

Anywhere in the manual what it says to use to lubricate the locks. Is it just graphite powder? Or something else.

Thanks

I've had success using Lock Ease - blue container available as spray or liquid from any auto parts store. The spray is kind of nice. The graphite is suspended in solvent that evaporates away and is not supposed to gum up lock cylinder. I've even used it on uncooperative ignition switches.

I do all five locks on all three of my Hondas every year to keep them like new. You don't even think about it until you borrow somebody elses car and the key won't go in or out I never thought of taking my can of LockEase along on my holidays.

LockEase, the aerosol version x 2.

I don't think I ever used the key to open any of my Hondas starting with the 1999 Civic EX. All of them come with keyless entry, pretty much. I don't even know if my locks work.

I guess, I should check, just in case the battery dies and keyless doesn't work anymore. lol
