Default Stop Seat Belt Warning Beep?

Hello!
Can someone tell me if there is any way I can unplug something to stop the beeping noise connected to my seat belt? Here's the situation: I drive into the parking garage at work, pull up to security gate #1; with foot on brake, seat belt won't give so I have to unfasten the belt in order to reach far enough to insert my entry card; gate opens. With seatbelt still unfastened, I drive to security gate #2 (warning sound before I get to 2nd gate); same thing -- insert card, gate opens, drive up several floors to parking space... by this time, I've heard just about all of the beeping warnings I care to hear. Until the parking garage people decide to install barcode detectors at the security gates I'd like to disconnect the beeper!

I am quite aware of seat belt laws and that I am to buckle up while driving and I don't think I need a constant reminder.

It's just a little annoyance, but I have plenty of those throughout the day without noises from my car adding to list! And since I am in and out of the office more than once a day, the repeat fasten/unfastening thing could become even more annoying than the beep!

The foot on brake should not affect the seat belt.

The lock is tripped by inertia and/or the speed the belt is extended.

I thought it only made the beeping sound when first starting the engine and the seatbelt is not on. I didn't know it gave out a warning sound after that. Are you sure the sound is from the seatbelt warning.

Default Seat Belt Warning Beep

Well, now I AM confused! My warning noise beeps about every 30 seconds (when seat belt is not buckled)... and my belt locks up whenever I try to reach out to insert my card -- I just assumed it was because I had the brakes on - what else would make it lock up?

It could be the rate at which you stopped or the angle the car is sitting at (severe up or down tilts fake the inertia pendulum).
Some belts lock too easily, check another Honda and maybe get yours replaced under warranty.

Actually the warning beep sounds for a few seconds about every 10th mile (estimate) that the cars TRAVELLS with an unbelted driver. Just sitting it doesn't go off...(although now that I think about it I never sit in the seat without buckling).

I know the feeling, the same thing happens to me in parking garages...I don't buckle-up until I pass the toll-gate since I can't get to my wallet with the belt buckled.
