locked? does that mean it would go into the hr-v articles as "What are the front lip and the rear spoiler for?"

I think the idea was to leave the topic alone, or at least the piss taking side of it anyway.

I'm glad HondaCBR is ok but you guys might want to have a quick think about how you'd feel if you were the driver of any car that rolled, never mind if it was your own car.

My comments regarding driver skill were not meant to say anything about his skill as a driver, probably just unlucky that time on that day. Personally i'm interested in how it rolled and what he was doing before during and after it happened so that we might be able to avoid getting into similar circumstances.

When DutchHRV rolled his i didn't see anyone sniggering - so why start now.

sniggering? come on pat - just dont play as if you didnt read HondaCBR's boasts

first he rolls his SUV racing with coupes and sedans - we expressed our regret and compassion - that was a month ago
but then all of a sudden he starts picking on us with pop quizes, lecturing us with kilograms on aerodynamics, pointing out how laughably wrong we all are, just because he managed to beat all possible brands of carmakers
before he rolled that is...

he did not accept the possibility that he might be wrong ending his tirade with
"I don't know why I am wasting my time to explain this, I think I am on the wrong forum."
i think he needed to be put back on his place - thats what we did
and your honest words were just in place

yeah i'll go along with that - i thought i drove my HRV fairly hard and consequently i'm having a hard time envisaging just what you have to do to tip it over past the point of no return. Even when i'm racing other cars, i don't race them as much as i race myself - drive as fast as i can for the ability of the car. If i feel for one second that the car doesn't have the ability to keep up with or catch up with the car i'm playing with .... then i just let them go. Mind you with 9 points on my license even playtime has to be carefully rationed these days.

On a different note i adjusted the tyre pressures this weekend to the correct settings for front and back .. i'd been running the fronts at 32 and the rears at 29 Now i've reversed it to the correct settings it handles so much better and rides better too!

Been there and done that. But i never blamed the accident on aerodynamics (or the lack of a spoiler). I blamed only one person. A very youthfull and un experienced ME.

Anyway, surely HondaCBR can take a joke (well we hope so cause we want to make this the running joke till christmas).

Well it is Christmas now.

Look what i found on the net. you print it and stick it onto cardboard, cut it out and then fold and glue. Instant toy HRV. Best part it has the option of a rear wing or no rear wing.

so, here is how you can roll over with any other SUV and the HRV is not an exception

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/d...5a7208eafa.htm

at higher speed if you make a left-right corner, you probably end up like this.

I was driving on the circuit and rolled the HRV under the same circumstances, a 90 degrees left corner and another one after 30-40 meters at right
