To SEARCH further in the forums, use the asterisk in your search keyword: "LPG*' or '*LPG' because it takes FOUR letters.

@pit, I have LPG in my HRV, and I have no issue with the engine , I'm doing about 12000 km a year and it really saves me a lot of money.
Here are my stats with fuel consumption: http://www.motostat.pl/vehicle-stats/41085
what you need to remember , if you are running on LPG you need to regulate valves every 20000 km.
Any way my LPG installation is over 4 years old and I have no issue with the engine and I did over 40000 km on LPG.

btw. my tires are : 215/65/16 so about 5% bigger than default one.

Thank you very much, i needed that info!

I see that your LPG consumption is preety low, at 9.5lt/100Km, thats another relief.

Do you hear your valves when they need regulation? Do you feel the loss of power? Or do you regulate them anyway when you drive 20.000km?

Actually need to regulate valves soon, because I have already done 20k, but I need to wait for a colder weather in Poland because I don't want to wait 4 hours for engine to loose it's temperature.

Yes, but do you regulate them because your mechanic told you so?

Or because you hear (or feel) that your valves need regulation?

Because My mechanic told me so ... and If I will feel any difference between : before and after I will let you know.
I will try to go for regulation in about 2 ~ 4 weeks.

the system is on and running like a charm.

I thought of posting some photos of it.

This is the LPG tank, 5mm thick metal, where the spare wheel used to be (the only thing that is not "made in Italy", it is turkish, but looks ok). 55liters capacity, made the wooden floor to rise about an inch, but nothing that cannot be fixed easily.

most components can be seen here, the 2 filters, the injectors (on top of gasoline injectors), the ''lung'' (converts LPG from liquid to gas). There is also a CPU unit, that is hidden somewhere...

this ''lung'' needs warmth to work (38oC), so it uses the engines cooling water

That is why the system will not work for the first minute, after you start the engine. The colder the weather, the longer it will take to switch from burning gasoline to burning LPG. There is nothing noticable when that happens, except from the ''tik'' sound that a valve makes in the back.
Also, this system is programmed to burn a small amount of gasoline (5%), when the engine is under heavy load, between 2000 and 4000 rpm (on an uphill or when accelerating hard). Nothing noticable then, too.

The switch looks like this

i had it installed behind the gear stick. When the upper led goes from red to green, that means you went from gasoline to LPG. The lower leds indicate the amount of LPG in the tank. Also, you can go to gasoline just by pressing the center button.

There are some plugs to connect with a portable computer so you can check or reprogram the system

The LPG refuel inlet was placed next to the gasoline inlet, under the same hood, so there is nothing noticable from the outside.

Hello, what about lpg system's performance? How does HR-V feels like with thiw system on? Consumption before and after?

I am interested in buying one, also found with lpg on, so such information from a user would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hello Kotskofi, here is some info that i got since i installed the kit.

1. The performance is almost the same, the difference is so small that you might not notice at all. But yes, there is a very small difference, maybe 1-2% max. But when you seek for economy, you drive smoother anyway, so it is not a problem.

2. The engine feels much smoother when burning LPG. Less vibrations and less roughness.

3. With a full tank of benzin (55 liters) i could make 480-550 kilometers, ~10km/lt. With a full tank of LPG (57 liters tank, but 42 of them usuable, the rest stays in the tank) i can make 420-500 kilometers, ~11km/lt, depending on the use, highway use with 110-130km/h will make 500km. LPG is also much cheaper, now in Greece it is at 1.00euro/lt and benzin is at 1.65-1.70/lt.

4. Never, never install a cheap kit. Go for a kit that is fully controlable-tunable (by the installers PC, or yours, if you have some skills...) and fully serviceable (in every component). Also, be sure that the installer is an authorized one (not because he sais so).

The last one is very important. I see many people who tried to save 200-300 euros when installing LPG on their cars, and they have many issues now. What is the point on doing a modification if your car doesn't work properly?

I hope this will help you!

Helpful indeed, thank you very much. I live in Greece (Athens), perhaps we could meet, if it is possible and give me some more advice for the modification. You also have PM...
