Arrow Gas mileage for Pilot '08 VP

Hello,

This is my first post on this site, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to post what kind of mileage you're getting from 2008 Honda Pilot (VP) V6 4wd model driving around town bcos gas mileage what I am getting doesn't make me happy, it gives upto 12 to 14 mpg in town. Already done 2 times oil change, but still its not making my wallet happy .

Hope to get good suggestion how I can get more mileage, thanks in advance.

Well first off you are running a winter blend of fuel.

Second, how long are your trips?
How cold is it where you live?
Do you let the vehicle warm up before you drive it?
What are your driving habits?

There are so many factors that affect fuel mileage it would be too long to list.

I am a pretty mellow driver and I love cruise control. I have an EX 4wd.
Have never had the engine Warm up. Used to live in cool Oregon, now I live in VA.

To get to town it takes me an hour, smooth very straight roads, however, over in Oregon, used to take an hour and a half, mostly twisty hill driving.

On the HWY I can get 21.6 mpg.
In the City, best I have been able to do is 18 mpg.
Hill driving, was getting 19/20mpg
Just glad I don't have to go into cities very often.

Coming across the country, I started getting 17mpg.... the Throttle body needed to be cleaned, once that was done I was back to my normal rage.
