Default 2009 Royal Blue EX 4WD

Made the deal on Saturday and traded in a '07 Nissan Versa that was becoming more trouble than it was worth and didn't have enough space for our growing family (3 mo old girl).

I love the color and how it rides. Was looking at a used black '08 EX, but decided I still don't trust used cars. It had some vibration I didn't like above 70mph on certain pavement...that wasn't there on the new model.

It will take getting used to driving it since our other vehicle is a Altima 2.5 with the CVT. It's responds almost telepathically to throttle input... imaging a jet turbine without any lag... and that's the Altima. 15 more HP and 300 less lbs helps. On the other hand, the CR-V takes a little some deliberate action to downshift.... just like my '04 Accord when I had 4 people in it.

It's funny but the seating position at least reminds me of an Odyssey, but I look in the rear view mirror and 1/2 the vehicle is missing

Overall I love it. great ride but I'm amazed how responsive it is and how well it handles. It's much more nimble than my Versa was, and it rails around corners with grip to spare that had the Versa up on 3 wheels and chirping it's tires and sliding. I can't wait until winter... woohoo!!!

I'll post some pictures when I get a chance.

Welcome to the forum! Now you need to post some pictures of your new ride...

Nissans are generally not as reliable as Hondas.

No they are not... but the Altima I believe matched the Accord in most quality surveys and it's Consumer Reports top rated midsized sedan. But as a whole...especially the trucks... yes, Honda is more reliable.

My wife and I also liek hte looks and the way the Altima drives better than the Accord, and it's priced a little more competitively.

Oh... the 4 cylinder CVT Altima model is also faster than the Accord 2.4L 5 speed auto.

welcome to the forum!

I do have to say the CRV handles pretty well for it size and shape. I was also amazed by the response from the drive by wire. I was kind of skeptic about it fast, but now I almost don't even notice it at all. I do have to mention that the cruise control is flawless due to the drive by wire technology, it has such a smooth transaction compare to the old cable and vacuum setup.
