Default Oil/Transmission/Rear Differential Crush Washers: All The Same?

Are the crush washers that need to be replaced when changing the engine oil, transmission fluid, and rear differential fluid all the same?

When I look online, I only see crush washers for the engine oil drain plug, so I'm wondering if I can use those for all three purposes.

    Okay then.

The rear differential is 20mm top and bottom

On manual transmission, they are 14mm and 20mm. No one has confirmed or denied that an automatic is the same.

    the oil pan is 14mm.

I just changed the rear differential and automatic trans fluid this weekend on my 99 CR-V. The crush washers were different sizes.

I think that the Dealer parts counter guy said that the oil, differential, and auto trans crush washers were all different.

Might be worth a quick call to a dealer...

    Good luck.

18mm for the automatic drain plug washer, as found on the slhondaparts site.

oh, and a handy tip when you drain the automatic tranny - leave the dipstick in when you take the drain plug out - it will lessen the reach of the fluid stream. Trust me, it shoots out far...

you d not have to replace crush washers, but you should pay close attention if you leak

If the crush washer appears to be in good condition with no nicks or being severely crushed from over tightening, you can reuse them. I have done so in the past when I've forgotten to get a new one(s) with no problems.
