Default Cruise control button light burnt out

I did a search and only found info on HVAC system lights.

I noticed today that my 2002 CR-V EX no longer has a light when I press the cruise button on the dash on. Is this something a kind of handy person can replace or is a trip to the dealer in order for this.

If any one can let me know a procedure and parts needed to fix this - I say in advance a big thanks.

You could take the switch apart and replace the bulb, or you could just buy a new switch from an online parts place if it means that much to you. Can't be that much money.

Mine has already burned out on my 2005 w/ 45k miles. It is usually left on. Don't really know what I need the green light on the switch for anyway. If the button is pushed in, it's on.

I have a topic awhile back for this on the sunroof light
I'll do a video if i am able to get low enough one day
ut I have a pic instead , luck I have an switch from my fogs I got that will show you what to look for when removing by following the procedure.

the bulb runs around 3.00 you can go to Radio Shack and try your luck in a bulb or honda 50/50 in stock

Two bulbs are on the switch

1 it is a 5 minute open and close operation 4 minutes for tearing 1 minute for the switch

    step one

lower black cover twist the handle and pull to you.

    step two

open coin/junk tray on lower driver door side, remove phillips screw or screws. On driver inner side fuse panel remove cover, and remove Philips screw.

    step three

now from the lower section pop cover off to you by pulling into you. and then allow whole cover to slide or drop out.

    step four

locate the switch , squeeze tabs on side, and pop out the switch , it is possible to get your hand behind w/o removing whole dash cover.

Switch in hand use the Phillips screw driver to remover the 3.00 bulb , replace, and reverse procedures.

this is not the original switch but it will give you the idea how simple 3.00 will cost you 1 hr of labor.

As usual, Roadster, you've explained it in your inimitable clarity. Thank you very much. I'll give it a try.
