Default DEAD BATTERY/I cant put the car in neutral

My battery died inside a single-car garage. You can't change the transmision when the power is not available. How am I going to roll my car out of the driveway when I cant put the car in neutral.....
    Any ideas?

Isn't the system designed that if you have your foot on the brake, it releases the tranny lever? Put key into on position, put foot on brake, move lever into anything but "P".

    Default override

There is an override, I believe behind a little cover on the dash or somewhere, where you put a key in (any key) and then can shift. Check the good ole owner's manual. I've had this on my 02 CRV and 01 Ody.

My CRV is off at college with my daughter or I would give you the page number. I guarantee it is in the manual.

Congrats on that good link. I looked on the Honda Ownerlink site but didn't know where else to look. If he comes back from the garage, you've given him the answer!

as the car has no juice the electronics lock up it happ's like this on a honda accord and key release is hidden behind the platee of the shiftcover

1 honda crv its located on the shifter below 1,2,d,n of the shifter cover its a tab pul out Place key and all releases
but why the key wil notrease in the cylinderwhile likeanormal start? excellent question to the servicedeptartment
