Default Slight buzz noise from ignition on some startups

Every once in awhile when i turn the key i hear a slight buzz noise coming from that area. The car starts fine but is this indicative of a future problem?

have someone start it for you, ofcourse in park position, and listen in the rearend... if it's there it might be your fuel pump
    jrsc supercharger
    2 1/4 pipe cat back
    high flow cat
    4-2-1 hotshot headers
    custom intake
coilover spring (ebay special) in the rear and h&r cutted 1.5 in. in the front(ride is better)
    koni shocks frt & back
    obx twin loop muffler
type r rear sway bar 22mm
    polyurethane front sway bar bushing

You didn't mention which year you have. There was an ignition switch recall for some of the early years. Try this. With radio and other accessories off, turn key to ON (not start) and listen. Your fuel pump will pressurize the fuel line and make a slight buzzing sound as it does it. When it stops, start the car. Was that the noise you hear? If so, it is normal.

You can view recall and other info for your vehicle thru Honda's Owner Link.

I know what you are talking about -- I get that too occasionally with my '04. It is arcing in the switch a bit which will NOT be good in the long term. Switching decisively to ON for a second then Start will keep it from doing that.

That's a normal noise, just turn the switch quicker and harder and you wonn't hear it....

    Default the buzz

I have the same issue. Every once in a while I get a sound like a relay buzzing (from inside the dash). It may then happen a couple more times over the next few days and then I don't hear it for months.

As I can't make it happen on demand it is next to impossible to find the problem.

From the September 2001, Honda Service News:

    Starter Relay Buzzes
If you turn the ignition switch very slowly to start
the engine, all Honda models except Passport
have this little quirk: the starter relay buzzes. If
your customer complains about it, don’t spend
your time trying to fix it; there’s really nothing
wrong. Just tell your customer to turn the ignition
switch a little faster, and the relay won’t buzz.
