I have a relatively small oil leak. I have seen on the side of the oil filter
and have taken it to the dealer several times. They have not been able to diagnose the problem as yet. At the last appointment, a flouro dye was put in the oil system but they could not discover the source. I am returning shortly for an oil change and they hope to discover the source.
This is a2003 Pilot with 18,000 miles. If you have any information on this problem or you can provide advice, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

jmccabe - Did Honda find out where your leak was coming from? My first thought since you said it was by the Oil Filter is that it could be a faulty oil filter or the filter is either on too tight or too loose...

But you said that Honda checked it out already and still could not find it...

Let us know when they find the source of the leak...

I recently returned to the dealer. They performed an oil pressure test and replaced the oil pressure switch and the oil filter housing and sealmated the surface. They also replaced the VTEC solenoid valve assembly with filter and put sealer on the threads of the bolts. They also sealed the two plugs on the back of the oil pump housing. I recently checked the oil filter and have not seen any visible oil residue.

Hopefully, the problem has been resolved. Thanks for your response.

Sounds like the dealer did whatever they could do. Hopefully, no more problem for you.
