View Full Version : HR-V fun in swamp
That would be a good idea, I bet you laughed your socks off at their misfortune
i was too excited to laugh, the HR-V earned its Joymachine name.
we went to celebrate Midsummer Day in http://www.soomaa.com/eng/, you know, bonfires and stuff. the place is called Swampland in english and it's a kind of place where you might sink really deep if you step off the road, sometimes the roads aren't any better either :D
at this very moment the Primera hit its bottoms to the ground with a matching sound :) the 1st comment from him was: "have to get the repair estimate on monday.."

i have to get A/T tyres next.. my G/T-s are almost done - 1 mm left on rear ones, so it was slippery as hell.

That looks like a great deal of fun, did you notice any damage to the 'V' afterwards.
Cheers,
Mike
No damages, the scratches on the sides are not considered to be damage - they are battle scars.

I think that's the first HRV I've seen get down and dirty!
i can live with my own scratches but.. someone thought he/she needs my parking spot more than i do, so:

where the rear bumper attaches to the rear right quarter panel.

the white spot is about 1 sq in and is located on rear bumper's corner.

Ouuuch....! I fully sympathise with you and I know exactly how you feel! The same thing happened to my V, notably on the front bumper. I touched it up with silver paint but pretty much made a mess of it. But try polishing it out as much as you can, you'll probably find alot of it will come off. Good luck.

A week ago i decided to make my hrv the most dirty car in town.
So:

The picture doesn't show the dirt so well, but people around were looking on it with interesting look ;)
Well the ride inthe woods was exciting, a lot of swamps and this smell around :) BUT! I injured the car: I don't know what is the name of this part, but its in front of the engine and it is plastic and it is to protect the engine there the oil is (heh you know what it is)

The part costs in Poland about 100 euro (shit, need to hide it so parents wont see it).
Conclusion: be careful!!!

Will they ground you if they find out
Cheers,
Mike
Parents don't really understand!
Just realized that HR-V is not a Offroad Macine when a rock hit in the propeller shafts mid stand (outs). well, it just bend a little, no permanent damage.
To save damage in the future, i got my self this:

Now I dont have to worry about every dent in the car, and my HR-V stays in shape.
 Need a sponsor for gasoline expenses, thou. Shell, Esso, for exe. will doo
good choice :) i also will get a real 4x4, possibly a Cherokee or a Wrangler, when my wallet says so.

yeah your right. i realized this when i started the topic" OFF ROAD WORTHINESS". i'd prefer to have 7 seater landcruiser or pajero, not brand new ofcourse. :D
That Range Rover was a sheap one, 1000€ and I have to repair it for rost damages, but now I dont have to worry about damaging my HR-V.
And those sounds, V8 is the thing
btw, happy b-day, hr-v :)

Just realized that HR-V is not a Offroad Machine...

I've come to the same conclusion.
I'm considering buying an old Suzuki Sierre (aka Samurai) as a second vehicle. They are cheaper than a Quad Motorbike, carry more passangers and cargo, and will pretty much go the same places. They're also economical.
