The Tornado Fuel Saver is a device that "spins" the air into the engine, supposedly increasing fuel mileage. Here's a link to one site that's still selling them: Tornado Fuel Saver (http://store.yahoo.com/rodi/torfuelsav1.html)

Here's some feedback on it at urateit.com: Review Summary of Tornado Fuel Saver (http://www.urateit.com/showreview.asp?id=173)

A review on the Tornado and a magnet based mileage improver: Do Gas Mileage Improvers Really Work (http://www.wcpo.com/wcpo/localshows/dontwasteyourmoney/917ff5.html)

While the [EPA] has not tested the Tornado itself, the company has provided test data to the agency, and the EPA has tested devices using similar technology.

The agency said none of the devices improved gas mileage, and that based on what it has seen of the Tornado's data, it has no reason to feel that product is an exception, the EPA's Grundler said.

As one mechanic put it: Use the money for a tuneup. You'll get better results.

Did you read the links I posted? They don't do anything except take money out of your pocket and put it in the sellers pocket.

If you really need one, send me $70 and I'll send you a sticker for your window that says "TurboPowered" and is guaranteed to increase your fuel mileage and HP by 50%. I'll even make you one whatever color you want so it matches your CR-V.

The answer is NO.

These things do not work. PERIOD.

Some MIGHT improve performance in one area or under one set of conditions but usually with even greater looses elsewhere.

If performance gains were posible without compromise then teh Manufacturer would do it.

my friend bought a similar device, the tornado, and definately got a lot of gains in the noise dept, but his mpg also went down and it took longer longer to get car up to 60. let me say that again. longer you definately dont want to buy this device.

at least it doesnt have hand sketched instructions like the last tornado-like device i saw.

ps. after 5 years on several car forums, i have never heard of anyone that bought this and was happy. never.
