:P
Hi Everyone,
I have just bought a HR-V 'S' reg in metallic gold with 24000 miles on the clock. so far I am chuffed to bits with the performance, economy, comfort etc.
But being me I have decided a mesh grille would look great as would a stainless steel front 'A' bar........would anyone in England or wherever know where I could purchase these types of things.
By the way....great website..glad to see I am not the only one who likes these motors
Regards,
Mike :P :P :P :P     :P :P :P :P

Welcome to the forum and a good choice at that. There are a few threads on this topic , just do a search or go to the archived discussions page on the top banner and all your answers are their. Please post a pic of your motor when ever you can as we would all love to see the car.

Thanks Ben for your reply...I have just seen your HR-V and am wondering where you managed to get the chrome lettering on the rear of your HR-V.
I have tried my local Honda dealership (next to useless) and the local motor factors.
Any tips?
Cheers
Mike
PS: Pics to follow as soon as I can figure out how to use my new digicam
the second gen (facelifted) HR-Vs come with chrome badges as standard. you should get it from the dealership.

Thanks I am rather new to this.
Just ordered the Honda And HR-V chrome badges from my local dealership (£26) and bought a 4x4 badge from vauxhall (£2)
I was wondering if it is possible to apply the chrome badges over the existing Honda and HR-V stickers or is it best to try and remove them without damaging the paintwork, as the dealership has quoted me £150 to respray the boot should I screw it up whilst removing the stickers (this is very likely as im cack handed)
Any ideas
Regards,
Mike   :P :P
you can save the paint and apply it on the existing badge, if it matches.

Cheers.........it looks as if I will have to remove the 'V' from the HR-V sticker........should not be a problem

Best way to remove it is to use a hair drier on the badge to soften the glue and should just peal off.
***However a word of Warning***, don't get the paint too hot as you will bubble the paint, not good.
It was a while ago now but it came off fairly easily just a bit of glue left on the paint but that came away with a bit of elbow grease and polish.

Cheers for the info Ben
Im off to the dealership now to pick up the badges....will let you know how I manage to get on (or how I manage to bugger it up lol)
I also have to go to the garage to get brand new boot struts fitted as the present ones have given up and are leaking everywhere.

Hi Ben,
Just to let you know that everything went great....I decided to use a drop of white spirit on a lint free cloth to remove the excess glue, then buffed off with polish....no marks or scuffs.
The chrome looks a lot better than the original stickers, many thanks for a great idea.
Cheers,
Mike :D (happy bunny)

Thanks patrick........a month later and I am still chuffed to bits with her, although a few cosmetic mods are in order.
This is the first car I have ever owned that has got me cleaning it once a week lol
When the mods are done I will post before and after pics.
