Hi all, first time here... I'm not a CR-V owner but apparently my Civic Type-S 2.0 iVtec has the same engine as that of a CR-V.
My question is: How easy is it to pump up the performance of this engine? Are there any "must have" bolt-ons that don't require a degree in engineering to install???
Any comments welcome!!!!!!!!!!!! .. well, almost any ...

They're both K series engines, but not the same. The CR-V has a 2.4 liter engine. I believe www.hondata.com has a reflash for the civic si that gives you 10-12 more whp if you run 91 or better octane fuel.

Unless you are in Europe or Asia where the CRV has a 2.0L, but again, geared for torque and not top end.

Most likely you have the same k20 found in the RSX type S.
Simple bolt ons (cold air intake, header and catback muffler) are good for quite a few butt-dyno hp's.

Ahh, yes sorry, I'm in the UK. CR-V's have the 2.0 L iVtec

you could always change your pulleys, flywheel or camgear.
they will tweak you out a bit.
