ABS Kick In Only On Wet Roads ?

Tried a few emergency stops today on dry road. Wheels locked up and tires screech. ABS didn't kick in. Is this normal ? My previous HR-V ABS would have started pulsating big time.

ABS should work equally as well on dry pavement as on wet (just a little harder to make it kick in). I would have your system tested.

Also - how long has it been since you changed the brake fluid? You're supposed to do it every 2 years (but hardly anyone does).

Hi Johnktham,
You sure it did not kick in? After I change the brake hose to steel braided type, the ABS kick in after a slam on brake. Better check it.
It's not laughing matter.
