Dear All,

Just collected my V last nite and this morning damned nearly butt kissed a Volvo V50 test drive car out of SM motors.

I was happily headed towards IKEA with my wife and kids along Alexandra Rd when this test drive V50 (just started advertising in ST this a.m. no less) came blasting out of SM straight into the middle lane I was on - - no signal.... nothing at all ! KNN... has not even owned the car yet, just test driving and already behaves like a dick !

OK, family on board.... keep cool... don't want the young boys to learn F-words from daddy yet...... Slow down and keep a distance.......

Then the dunghead started signalling right when he passed KM and his brake lights came on. I thot the f@rker was slowing down to turn right at the traffic light but he came to a DEAD STOP in the same lane, 100m before the traffic lights, 3 lanes away from the right turn lane. He was PARKED while I was still approaching. I had to stand on my brakes and evade hard left.

The moment I swerved off, I heard a really REALLY loud crunch.

Oh F@RK ! ! !

I thot I had hit the bastard. Or worse, someone on the left lane !

But looking in the rear view mirror, I saw a motor bike rider on the floor behind the Volvo. Quickly stopped before the left filter road to LengKee, hazard lights on, then got off to see if I could help. The biker was clutching his leg but a van driver had stopped and was helping him already. I remember some first aid lesson that if too many people crowd around a casualty, it causes anxiety that leads to shock. So I helped direct traffic a little bit instead.

The girl SE and the blur f@rk driver were walking about talking on their hand phones. They might have checked on the rider before I got there but I did not see them check on the man while I was there. Both were blur and pale as heck and walking about nervously. But when I asked, at least they had called for an ambulance already. I didn't stay too long as traffic sorted itself out quite quickly and what's more, I have my wife and kids in the car on a busy road side. Family responsibility beckons.....

The poor biker must have been behind me and when I 'siam', he went straight into the parked V50. You know the sickening part? The Volvo was hardly scratched in the bumper. By law, the biker was 'salah' because he hit the car from behind but this is really "wan ong".

I was just telling my kids that daddy is learning to drive the new car. I was just getting used to the size of the V but this incident has really given me some confidence of the V's steering response in tight situations. But this was not how I wanted to find out.....

Still "HENG... AHhhh..."

Hi Mudhog,

Oh man oh man oh man! What kind of a nitwit was that? Perhaps you might consider volunteering to be a witness? Idiots like that deserve to get slammed in court. You observed him to be "driving dangerously" (swerving out of SM Motors), "stopping vehicle in an unsafe manner", "causing obstruction", "did not put on hazard lights", and probably even "failure to render assistance". Did anyone call the police? If there are injuries, the police must be called right?

Thank goodness you avoided him in time and that your family is okay. Feel really sorry for the motocyclist though.

Drive safe everyone.

Teach that dumb reckless idiot a lesson.... write what happened to SM Motors for the upper management to take action on the se for allowing the "client" to drive in such reckless manner... write to TP on the incident!!! and best of the lot...be a witness for the poor biker! so that they wouldn't turn around and claim that the biker was in the wrong! Reckless idiot like them should be taken to task and be taught a lesson on responsibility.

Cheers...

As a matter of fact, already called TP and was told the IO for the case was not in. Waiting for him to call back.

Gee whiz, what a Volvo driver! In Australia, I heard that if you are labelled a Volvo driver, it means that you are worse than a nitwit handling a thick skin car.

Hope the biker is alright. Report that SOB!

Hi Mudhog,
We will be proud of you if u bring justice to that biker.
I did have an incident that a Hyundai Matrix hit my side mirror while overtaking and run away before the JB checkpoint.
I went thru all the trouble to make police report, claim his insurance even with his false insurance particular and make him pay for everything though the damage is so minimal. I guess his price for this hit is abt $500 @ his excess.
I could have let him go if he stops and say sorry.
There was already trouble with that mirror before the incident and KM is monitoring and decided to change them for free during next service.
So happen that this guy make KM's day by paying himself just becos he is shy to stop and say sorry before my next service!!!!!!
