View Full Version : Anyone replace spare with full size tire?

I'm looking for anyone who may have replaced the smaller spare tire (for Honda Pilot 2007 EX) with a full size tire. :confused: I just can't seem to find anyone at the local dealership who can answer that question.

Yes, most of us have and it fits under there with no problems, even with the OEM hitch there.

I have replaced the "doughnut" with a full size tire on mine and it is a perfect fit and like Humanoid said "Even with the OEM hitch".

I can get some tomorrow after work and post them for you. Right now we are getting ready to drop our K frame out so when the pilot goes back in the air on our lift I will get a couple of pictures. It's getting work done to it so more pieces than I like are off right now. :-(

Thanks. That will help me decide whether or not to replace the spare in my 07 Pilot with a regular size wheel. I had read in a couple of other places that the regular size tire sticks out a little below the bumper. I'll never understand why Honda won't give customers the option of installing a regular size tire. Unfortunately, in most cases, the wheel compartment is not big enough to handle a larger tire with OEM rim.
