:( Did anyone hear about this?? It took place in the DC area??? Last night on the news, they reported a Mother and child murdered and their Honda Element, color was mentioned as grey, stolen.

How horrible is that?? Are our E's a new target for theft??

Murdered?? Sheesh that's sick. What is this world coming to? And with that Element getaway car, they'll be able to outrun the cops when they go offroad!

Police: Suspect Held in Deaths of Mother and Daughter

Thursday January 08, 2004 7:03pm

Merrifield, Va. (AP) - Fairfax County (website - news) Police say they have warrants charging a 32 year old with murder in the death of a woman and her 22-month-old daughter.

Investigators say an initial autopsy shows asphyxiation is the cause of death for 30 year old Loan Phuong Nguyen*and her daughter, Ashley Nu Ton. They were found dead inside their home in the 2,800 block*of Lester Lee Court in Merrifield last night.

The family's 2003 Honda Element was missing from the home, and investigators say Dinh Pham and the missing vehicle have been found at Rosecroft Raceway in Maryland.

Pham is being held on a fugitive-from-justice warrant in Prince George's County.
