I listed it as the 5 speed AWD coz I wasnt sure if the headers in 5 speeds and autos were different.

Anyways, there was a header for sale on ebay and I contacted the owner. We are having discussions about it right now. It is chrome and has no brand name, guessing it is the ssautochrome header that used to sell on ebay(per archives).

Things I noticed:

1) The pic had the 02 senosr bung on the runner for the #1 cylinder right after the head whereas we have it in the collector at the flange. The 02 can be lenghtened, but more importatntly the question below

2) Has anyone ever made a header fit on a AWD 1G CRV? The archived articles mention that for AWD, one has to make one fully custom ? Is this true?

I have dimensions from seller:

- 23 3/4" long from where it goes from 4 to 2 and all the way back to the flange.
- 4 inches from where it goes from 2 to one, all the way back to the flange.

Please advise.

If it wont work on AWD and could work on FWD and someone wants this header, please PM as would like to help the seller out as much as possible.

Thanks!

Any b18 series header (from b18a to b18c5) should fit the b20b/b20z heads...

Is the header different on our AWD because of the transfer case? I guees I'll have to crawl under mine soon and check.

Don't buy a header with the primary o2 sensor reading only one cylinder. This sensor reads the a/f ratio and needs input from all cylinders at once.

Yep, this header on ebay had the 02 sensor on the #1 cylinder. So, I decided to give it up. I didnt think AWD was a problem, but check the archives - some guy says "with AWD, you need to go the custom route"

I did read on honda-tech that the header will need lenghtened to fit. Now, 99-01 GSR's have a different header as the A-pipe is longer.

That should work on the V, I would think. I need to find one for cheap :)

Thanks for bothering to reply. No one else seemed to care ;)

yup...the transfer case for the 4wd V is obstructive....a comptech (maybe skunk2) cr-v exhaust header works around this problem
