Came across the following info, http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/vehmaintain/maintain_mod.asp thought it might be interesting to those with mods on their V. I don't think my V is going to pass its inspection but for now , don't care !!!!

I've been drooling on those black license plates with chrome numbers, but was told that they are illegal......

Well Alex,
If u go thru those info carefully, u will know that simple basic accessories we have on are pretty subjective to the inspector's point of interpretation.

Johnktham,
i too am looking at those cool plates too. If I am going to be stop on the road anytime then....sigh. Anyone has any idea ??? :?

Hi Kelvin,
i guess they are trying to be as transparent as possible but at the mean time being a bit ambiguous that leads to grey area. Perhaps we should consult them and ask for black and white documentation to prevent double standards. What you think?

heh, alex, u can give it a try. but i think u will probably get an equally ambiguous answer. why? cos the person answer is not going to be the person checking and no reason for him to stick his neck out and tell u it's approved but at the inspection centre, they disapprove :D
