Hello there. I bought my V in november, it has 6,500 miles. In the last two weeks I've been hearing a squeeking noise inside the cabin, in the pillar b (where the driver's seatbel is located). It sounds like when two plastics make noise in poor assemble quality cars. This sounds when suspension articulates (stopping, accelerating, bumps, etc). Anyone has this problem? Any ideas?
Thanks.

SEARCH seatbelt chirp
Can you duplicate it when the car is stopped by wiggling the assembly near the top anchor point? If so, it will be real easy to demonstrate it to your service advisor at the dealership.

Tried to duplicate it with no luck. Pressed, wiggled, hit, etc the assembly and so sounds. On my next drive I'll put my head out the window when going over bump and see if the noise is outside too, but it does sound like the noise is inside.
I'll let you know.

Sometimes a liberal dousing of ArmorAll (or similar stuff) is the easiest cure. If it happens to be a plastic panel chafing against another object, the lubricant quality of the spray will silence it.

I found it!, thanks to all for your tips. The source of the problem was the drivers door. When closed it was rubbing against the door's "guide" that's on the pillar. See pics (pic1 is rubbing against pic2).
I just used some grease and done!, no more noises. This happened now that we are getting higher temperatures here (we can get up to 50 celcuis, more than 120 F in summer) and the grease that's normally in those parts started to turn into oil :)
Thanks again!

hey everyone! I love my V, but, I have a similar noise intermittantly over bumps and was wondering if anyone else had the same. I think I've isolated it to the middle section of the rear seat - where the plastic cupholder in the back is hitting against the plastic part of the middle back seat - only happens when the middle part is up - I can reproduce the noise by hitting the top of the headrest when the seat is up. Anyone else have this or have any fixes? Thanks!

Is it also a 2007? Try the ArmorAll mentioned earlier in this thread . . .

well, turns out it's not the plastic parts hitting, but I ended up putting a piece of velcro (the soft part) right above the indentation in the rear center seat with the armrest down and it's eliminated the rattle - is anyone else having this issue? (a rattle over bumps coming from the rear center seat armrest). I guess I'll get this checked out the next time I go in, but I just think it's weird that the noise is coming from the middle armrest bouncing off the center plastic back when the armrest is up - anyone's feedback or experience would be much appreciated (mine's a 2007 EX-L).
