Oil Change Intervals

I have 5500 miles on my V, purchased in November 06. My oil is at 60%, and I am not supposed to get it changed until 15%. Seems like a long time to me before getting the oil changed.

I asked the dealer and they said to wait until it gets to 15%

Any comments????

Yes, be patient and wait. Mine is in the same boat with just under 6k and the same 60%. I'm waiting until I hit 15% on the MMS and then will do it as recommended. We have discussed this topic in other threads and with some research, you will find that the 3000 mile oil changes like the quick lube places suggest, are a thing of the past with new cars such as ours. :)

Yea, we've discussed this thoroughly already. A search will do you good.

I got 50% left on the oil change and I'm taking it in on Monday at 6,000 miles.

Once again, Honda even cautions dealer techs and service advisors AGAINST CHANGING THE OIL TOO SOON.
