Wheels have been replaced with 16"x7" Eta Beta ART rims and Yokohama AVS dB V550 (225/60R16). Chose not to install the stock running boards that came with the Sport package. Windows have V-Kool (http://www.v-kool.com.sg/) heat rejection film (V70 type).

Thanks to all for the compliments. :D
Bing,
Had previously noticed your gallery pics of your V. Had all along figured that a 5 broad spoke design would suit the V nicely, and after seeing your pics, was totally convinced that it was what I wanted. Went all over the place to look for suitable wheels. Was glad I found them at pretty good prices (for Italian/Continental wheels here). So no surprise you like them, 'cos you (and your great site) helped me pick them. :D

Hi all,
Just posted pics of the accident where a Subaru WRX slammed into the rear of my V when it was just 2-weeks old. Enough to say that the V is one solid vehicle!

Hi 2000crvlx,
Yes, they are. The AVS dB model is for the Asian market. Not sure if the US market has a similar model. Check out: http://www.yokohamatire.jp/yrc/asia/English/top.jsp Click on "Tyre Catalogue", then on "Singapore" in the map that appears. The tyres (tires) shown are those officially available here. You can compare against those available over there.

Those look just like our Yokohoma Avid Touring tires. Almost the same tread. I have them on my V. Are they warrentied for 80,000 miles?

Hi 2000crvlx,
Yup, looks like you're right. They're probably rebadged, since "touring" is not really a familiar term around here.
Warranty? Nope. Price is a major factor in these parts, and most things (except perhaps some "high-end" things) don't have the kind of "money-back guarantee" that you get over in the West. Generally, tyres are one market where guarantees and warranties are rare, and terms aren't that great either.

nice V...what's the stalk coming up on the side of the hood? i've seen it on many foreign cars (outside of US) but never known what it exactly is.

Yup, it's a blind spot mirror. It is a fixed-angle mirror that shows the front left fender and the immediate ground next to it. (Remember that we are driving from the right-hand seat). It helps a little with parking, to see the kerb or the painted lines around a parking spot.
I also added a small round convex stick-on mirror to each wing-mirror, angled so that I can see the rear wheels on either side. A real aid in parking.

very nice, but i'm curious as to what that thing is on the hood ... is it another mirror?? i'm not familiar with right-hand-drive vehicles... and i seem to see that on those.

Hi,
It's a fixed angle mirror, angled so that the driver can see the left-front fender, front wheel and the kerb when parking etc.
