I noticed that the fender flare option provided in the US for Pilots looks different from those available in Canada. The US version does not go all the way around the fender, but rather is a small add on near the top of each fender well.
The Canadian version looks much like those flares on the Durango R/T 5.9, as they go all the way around the fenders front and rear and blend into the mud flaps. Check out Honda.ca and you will see the difference. I have seen the flare package on a Pilot which also had a 18 inch 255/55 Yokohama tire package that looked really sharp.
I called around to a dealership where I know the owner and he indicated to me that the current fender flare package offered in Canada has some installation problems (fastening problems). He actually recommended that I do not buy the product from him (or any other Honda dealer) until they work out the bugs. He also said the reason the flares in the US look different from those offered in Canda has to do with the fastening problem on the differing flare types.
I can't remember which user has pictures of their fender flares on this forum, but as you will see they are only partial flares (US version) vs. full flares. My advice to anyone looking at these flares is wait until Honda gets this fastening problem fixed, b/c the full flender flares with the wider tires gives the Pilot a nice muscular stance.
