XM Loading

I know this sounds petty, but it drives me crazy....

I have the '07 EX-L without navigation. I have XM. I think a key feature of XM is that the titles are displayed on the screen of the radio.

BUT.....

Every time I drive anywhere in my CRV, it starts off with titles and within 5 minutes I'll have "XM Loading" on the screen. Audio never goes away. And if I change stations and immediately return to the original station, PRESTO, I have titles again for about 5 minutes.

XM said to check with my dealer. My dealer said they couldn't make it happen.

I feel certain that some of you out there are experiencing the same thing. Anyone? Anyone?????

I believe this has been discussed a few months ago and there was no fix. Try a search for "xm loading" and you shall find it.

It has been discussed before, and I believe the consensus is that we're stuck with an el-cheapo XM radio. I have XM units in two other vehicles, one a factory unit (GM) and the other an add-on, and neither suffers from this problem nor the other annoying quirks of the XM receiver that Honda installs in the EX-L. For the price Honda charges, they should be ashamed of themselves!

I plan on replacing the stock unit soon. Maybe an in-dash GPS

I had the same issue, which I essentially tolerated until the 3 month subscription ran out. At that time, I installed my Sirius receiver that I pulled from my previous vehicle (still using the XM antenna, though).

Ours does this too...I found the 'work around' to be turning the radio off and then on...the 'loading' display will disappear and you will be able to get the info you want...artist, title, etc.
