Cruise Control on a 99 CRV

On a 99 Crv doesn't the cruise control work at night??? My cruise control works during the day but when i turn on my headlights it doens't seem to work anymore.. what is wrong with it anyone knows or have that problem?

Pull the cruise switch on the dash and check for power with the lights "off."
With the volt meter or test light still connected to the switch, turn "on" the lights and see if power is still present.
If it's (power) is good at the switch, the problem might be in multi-function switch. (turn signal)
Sounds like it could be a ground problem.
