How would I know how much percentage I've got on my tints? I definitely know they're tinted but the windows aren't pitch black either.

Is there a way I can tell? It doesn't say it anywhere on my sticker price.

If you didn't pay to have it tinted, it isn't.

Your windows might be tinted from the factory at about 90-95%% at most.

ps- TINT, not tints.

My tints were 20% before I got tints added on. Honda does 20% tints like that when you get them. I got new tints on mine because the tints on there weren't too dark. I like tints. :D

The OP has a LX, so it doesn't have tint. ;)

TINT. not tints.

dizchik, sleeksilver is correct. If you have the LX, it's either 90% tints or no tints at all. The EX and EX-L are tints-ed 20% in the back.

I know it's the internet and all with "texting" language, but I'm with sleeksilver on this one. It irritates me to read those shortened "words" in posts and spelling errors. I wish this would use a spell checker. I know I need to get over this fast...it' too early to irritate others...sorry!

I agree badger! I have pasted most of mine into word first to check spelling!

Why would you do that? Simply switch to using FireFox as your browser and get built-in spell checking. (Plus it is faster and more secure)

Too bad Word doesn't check for usage of a word adjacent to itself, huh? ;)

Dizchik, I also have an LX and it has a faint tint not clear glass (must be the 90% or 95% some other posters mentioned.) The extra privacy and theft safety of a dark tint would be nice but it wouldn't feel as open to me, more closed in. I'm one of the few that actually like lighter tint. :) If you do a search there is more info. on tinting on this forum.

Why not take it to a place that does window tint & compare it to their shades?
Haven't been through my manual all the way yet, but privacy glass in SUVs have a certain percentage that might be listed somewhere in the manual (?)
Any window "tinting" from the factory is most likely "smoked glass" (not sure if that's the right term, but meaning the tint is built into the glass pane itself, not attached via adhesive), not tinted.

As someone previously posted, Honda, like most dealers will use a 20% film.
I have 15% around the rears, 23% up front 8)

Bronze or charcoal? Sometimes the windows look charcoal and other times they look bronze. State laws prohibit the fronts being anything less than 25%, but dealer has 20% and 35%, so I am stuck with the 35%. I think I am going to go with Suntek Carbon - wont turn purple, delaminate, etc and lifetime warranty. TIA

66COUP, I'd go with Llumar tint. It has a metal sheet on the inside to prevent bubbling from defogger and it's very reputable. I believe I got charcoal on mine and it never appears bronze to me.

Has anyone tinted the front windows with Nav? I read in my nav manual today that the GPS will be finicky with too much of a tint. Please list percents in the reply.
