Hey out there,
I am thinking of lifting my lovely red 2002 up. Has anyone done this before, what do I need to check, do I have to strenghten the body work with some bars????
Where can I get the suspensions for a good price and delivered to Cyprus?

I finished with the audio system, now I need to get it ready for a little off road next summer. Cyprus has a lot to offer off the road.

I also need new bulbs for the head light as the old ones are not bright enough for me. Consider bright white ones, but a friend reconds blue ones are better. Give me more input.....
Thanks

Frank

Noone makes a lift kit.

You will have to have custom springs made for your CRV. Do a search, it's been covered about 1000x on this forum before.

Your friend is wrong, blue-ish headlights actually put out less light than white headlamps do. 4000-4500K are the brightest color temps for lights.

Good luck. Post some pictures of your CRV :)

I think something went wrong. I am driving an HRV and not CRV. I put my help request into the HRV forum.
Thanks for the answer anyway. Does this with the special made springs applies also to the HRV??

Woops, my bad.

Yes the springs should apply to the HRV as well. I don't know if someone already makes springs for the HRV though.

welcome!

i did a quick search and found this old thread for example:

i have been thinking about a lift kit myself as well but never really got it done. i have done a lot of offroad driving in my HR-V. it's a fragile piece of machinery but it's survived my wanderings off the road.

Thanks MRTN,
I went through the link you send me. As you where saying in January 2003. It's does not seam to be worth the hassle ("to be honest 20 mm lift is definitely not worth the money/trouble").
So, I will forget about this idea and thing of something else.

Thanks
