ok. in the other forum i said my wifes first gen crv was getting its spare tire area shaved. i got the car back today and it looks great except for the rear bumper which i overlooked. i didnt notice that the rear bumper has a part where the spare tire goes over. its hard to put into words. the bumper has a opening or whatever for the spare tire to fit . the pics will explain. if anyone knows a fix for this let me know or if you have seen clean aftermarket rear bumpers let me know. its bothering me. also you will finally see why i have been desperatly been looking for coilovers and some EX wheels. im still on the hunt for the coilovers. some help me lower this thing. hope you like. comments are again welcome wether its good or bad.

Love the shaved look... I think you're looking at japaneese body kits though if you want to find a bumper without the wheel indention. Or look for a bumper from a fullmark crv, that would fit perfect actually.

I don't have an answer for you for the bumper, but for the rest of it, thaimonkee, that's a great start.

The fullmark is a trim line in Japan... i've atatched a photo of the rear of one so you can see the bumper. I'm not entirely sure but I would think there are a number of JDM parts distrubutors in the US that could get one for you.

Well I don't know of any place personally but after doing some looking on google you might want to contact the guys at http://www.jhpusa.com/. I would also contact member k24_rd6 I believe he imported a JDM bumper when he had his spare shaved on his 2nd gen, you might want to find out who he went through to get the parts.

that is awesome. that is a great beginning. another suggestion is moving the licence plate to the middle of the door. but that's just my opinion.

Looks good thaimonkee! Question...where'd you put the spare? If it's inside make sure it's secured. You'd hate to have that thing fly around in the event of an accident.

man i tried to put the spare where the folding table goes but that ish is too big. so i tried to put it somewhere in the trunk but the sub box is in the way. so i just got no spare. if my wife breaks down then i told her to just call me and i will help her out. kinda sucks though about that.
as for the lisense plate.it would require alot of work to put it in the middle of the trunk because when you take off the spare you see a metal braket that holds the spare. you have to take that bracket thing off and weld a metal plate there to make the trunk smooth. if want to put the plates there you gotta rewire the lights that light up the plates and cut out more of the trunk and so on and so on..you get the point. and besides i dont want to spend alot of money on this car since its not my car and the wife isnt all into this kinda stuff. sory for the long post.

It's got potential. Looking forward to more pictures as your project progresses. Thaimonkee, your wife must be a real sport if she's not into this stuff, yet is putting up with not having a spare.
I'm a little surprised that the shop didn't tap you on the shoulder at the time and say, "We can shave it, but that bumper will look a little funny."

yea we both overlooked that part of the bumper. its ok though for now. the hard part is going to be finding a jdm bumper to fit. oh well..my wife likes cars adn stuff but isnt really INTO like most guys are. shes good about..thansk for all the compliments..oh yea..tomorow we are putting another flipdown monitor in the crv. the one we have got messed up.the right side of the sceren is broken. the screen was a 10'. the new one that we putting in tomroow is a 14 inch. its going to be HUGE!. show you pics later
