I've noticed that the exhaust system, on my '04 CRV, hangs down fairly low. Not only does is look bad, but I suspect it might create some drag if off road or on a dirt trail.
Has anyone tried raising the whole system or do you have to pretty much go to a aftermarket system? I'm wondering if Honda did it to save weight....by not putting shielding between exhaust and floor. I guess I'm also curious to know why they did it and what the potential result is if the system is raised to reduce visiability and increase clearance. Will I end up with heat problems or is there something more sinister lurking in this kind of a modification????
My other question is in relation to the '02 Si muffler I took off (in favor of an aftermarket unit). Does anyone see any problem (other then triming the bumper to allow for the dual pipes) with installing it on the V as a replacement for the OEM unit?
Any comments will be appreicated.
