That's a nice price. I also just realized that my signature picture shows my 99 with the windows before they were tinted. I will endeavor to correct my error and get a new picture posted, as soon as the ICE goes away. It is supposed to be freezing rain from now (Friday evening) thru Monday!

Nice, can't wait to get our 1st snow fall!! still waiting on that!

Oh, this won't be nice. I won't even take out the real 4x4 in ICE. We did have about 12-15" of snow back on December 1. It was too heavy and wet and deep for the V's. I drove the Dodge.

Do it immediately.

Do it immediately.

Every time I see an untinted V, it generally has an old lady (sometimes man) driving it. PLEASE tint it soon. They look so much better and keeps prying eyes away from the contents in the back.

ps - I can mention the above because those people are not on the internet, let alone this forum. I know. I work on John Doe's computers every day.

Drive by the dealer and see if they have an EX in stock. Those should have tinted rear windows on them. I have the factory tint on my rear windows but I also had the fronts tinted and added an extra layer of 35% on the rear windows. Looks nice and dark but I haven't had a chance to clean my car and take a picture of it in the day yet.

I do recommend tinting. Keeps the car cooler and also looks nice.

I have a black V as well and I need them tinted ASAP (it gets 80 in FL during winter). If I drop by a retailer, how do I know whether they sell the good tinting materials? I've never done this before. Any type of brand / chemical components I should be aware of before purchasing?

Ask for 3M. I had it put on my 99. Great stuff.

mdugan, have you had any signs of peeling yet with your 3M tinting?

Also, what all do you guys use for your windshield on the new V? From what I hear you cannot (or should not?) tint your windshield ... yes, I'm a tint newbie.

No peeling. I have had other cars tinted over the years with 3M as well. REAL, PROFESSIONAL tinters will almost exclusively use 3M and will guarantee it. Mine cost $150 for the 99 V and they will redo any window within 5 years if it peels or fades.

Here in HI it is illegal to tint the front windshield. I am sure it is also illegal to do this in any state. Also, my front two windows cannot be darker then 35% light transmission. I am not sure on the legalities in your state but your local tint shop should be able to tell you.

Absolutely - Never, ever tint the front windshield and you really should not do the front (driver's/passenger's) windows. Some people will anyway, but you want to be able to see well at night. It is more of a safety issue.

See, now you have to get it tinted. Otherwise, you will be generalized into the "old people" category. :)

Then, it's PICTURE TIME! Post a pic or two with cool scenery, local to your area in it. Dogs are always welcome too. Dogs don't love trucks - they love CR-V's! (Apologies to Nissan) My lab goes NUTS when she hears "Let's go for a ride".

As soon as there is snow I will take a pic of it with tinted windows ! it will look so nice!

our dog is sooo loving the new car, he loves going for car rides! all I have to say is "CAR" and he freaks out!

now that we have more space than the RSX he loves it!

Yes, I agree!!! Please post pics :-). I want to see if it looks good enough to justify the price of the tint before I give it further thought.

Ahem. You are in ORLANDO with a BLACK vehicle. Tint the windows before Spring or you will roast inside. (I have a friend that works for the city of Eustis)

Where, oh where, is SKYOUT to post on this one?
