At least you have low and high . 2 GEN SE has the on/off switch only and yes it is just warm.

Yes, I have the same complaint with my 2007 CR-V EX-L. The heated seats don't get very hot. The 2000 Subaru Forester I had would roast your butt off. The CR-V is barely adequate - on High!

You have to give it a few minutes to heat up and then it gets hot.

This might be one of those "still settling in" type of features that take a few hundred miles to get going.... my dad's Santa Fe has heated seats and when he first got it you'd never know.. now.. you sweat your @$$ off... literally. :-)

My Acuras don't get very hot either.

I know that in some European cars they can adjust the temp through the computer, but I don't know if you can do it on the CRV. Ask the dealer.

How do you define HOT! What one consider hot, but for others it's only warm. It could be the type fo clothing you wear at the time of using the seat heater.

For me, my CR-V gets pretty hot when it's turned to high. So did my previous vehicle ACURA did as well.

I too am a bit disapointed in the heated seats. I can barely feel it on high and not at all on low. I hope that it will "break in" over time and get hotter. I've had experience with heated seats in VWs and BMWs and those have all been nice and warm on the high setting. I asked a service mechanic at my honda dealership if there was any way to tweak them and he said there wasn't.

I guess if this is the worst thing about my CRV, then I'm doing pretty well!

Heated seats? Honda is selling CR-Vs with heated seats?? Where have I been all these years???

Oh yeah. I've been driving my 1st Gen CR-V, that didn't even have heated seats as an option, and loving it.

G2.5 SE had heated seats too

I'm sure our european friends had them on the G1 too.... Lucky people over there.

well, maybe. but consider that heated seats may be offered because they're needed. in that case, maybe they're not so lucky. i'd rather not need them and not have them, than have them because they're needed. i also like to wear shorts and go barefoot. somehow, the temperaturs that would allow shorts/barefeet wouldn't seem to require heated seats. <grin>

Seems to me I saw a thread somewhere that discussed the problems with the heated seats were cause by the heater ducts under the seats. Heat going through the ducts would give some sensor under the seat for the heated seats a bad reading. Thus, seats wouldn't get as hot as some would like.

Can anyone else remember this written?
