My new 2007 CRV is gold and has that beigey-colored upholstery. It isn't the plush cloth like I have in my 1999 CRV. It's more like some kind of vinyl or microfiber. Anyway, I've had it a month, and the front seats really look dirty. I don't eat in the car or have anything wierd in there. Any idea how to clean this? I guess I will have to buy seat covers. This cloth is one of the few things I don't like about the 2007. I gave my husband the 99 so I could get the new one. Now what have I done!?

The ivory interior on the Beige looks too light to me and slanted toward the yellow. If it were a little browner looking so the dirt wouldn't show, I might have gone for the beige that the dealer had on his lot. You're probably stuck with using an ordinary upholstery cleaner and hoping for the best.

One caution on the seat covers; the side airbags are mounted in the seats and seat covers would totally block them. They caution about it in the manual. There are also all kinds of sensors in the passenger seat and you have to be careful about doing anything to the seat.

Thanks much for your response. I haven't finished reading the manual yet, so I didn't get to that part.

I've got the same color upholstery in my 2006 and haven't had a problem with them getting dirty in 6 months. Probably a combination of Scotchguarding all the fabric the first day off the lot and no kids or pets at home.

Do be careful when shopping aftermarket seat covers.. Quality companies like Wet Okole (http://wetokole.net/page/WOH/PROD/HONDA/CRVF) are designed not to interfere with the side air bags. Those you find occasionally on eBay generally do.

Wet Okole doesn't show covers for the '07 yet, but you could call their toll-free number to inquire.

Thanks, Dragonfly. I don't have any kids or pets in my car. This fabric is not like anything I've seen before. It has a wierd texture. I tried cleaning one of the seats with a damp "miracle cloth" and now there is a subtle blotch. I'll check out those wet okoles.
