Any one check out the "view count" option in the little icon toolbar? I don't recall ever seeing that in the old forum.
Hey Bing! Should we have a bugs/problems thread going? I've found a few dead links and other assorted issues, but I have no idea what you are already aware of.

...and the avatar page is enforcing the 80 x 80 limit even with linked pics. Had to shrink the monster a little.
Bing, how about expanding those limits a little. The space on the left is already about 140 pixels wide. The page won't distort until the avatar gets bigger than that. No biggie. Just curious.
I like the quick reply box!

I'll increase the limits on the avartars.
Please reply to this thread to let me know of bugs and dead links. I'm still plugging away at it...mostly to optimize it so that it runs faster.
Mark....I didn't forget about you. There's no quick way for me to publish your article. However, you can help me out if you cut and paste your article into this page by following this link.

Send me the images separately if you haven't done that already and I'll upload onto the server on my end.
Thanks guys.

Bing - in regards to the Avatars... Is there a way for you to set it up so that I can upload a picture from my PC instead of getting a picture that is already on the Internet? I know of a few sites that specializes in "Direct TV" stuff, and their forums has that ability... I think this would be good so that everyone can upload their own unique Avatar...

I am not a computer guy at all, so all I have to say is, looks good so far.
I continue to be impressed with Bing's ability to juggle everything he has on his plate (no wonder the avatar is so appropriate).
I sent Bing a message on a product with a real small problem. Didn't think I would hear back from him for a while (due to everything else going on with the site). Truly surprised at the response (same evening), and resolution.
Keep it up Bing - We do appreciate what you have done and continue to do. Thank you

Hi Bing,
Looking good, the top nav needs to be one (1) pixel taller and then moved up one pixel so the seperators touch both the top and bottom of the background bar. At home I had an issue with the width you had it set to, but it looks like you got that resolved. once I get my browser resizer reinstalled at work i'll take a look there.

Guys, I tested the site on a Mac running IE (OS X) and somehow the style sheet wasn't showing up right. Can you guys on MACs try moving around using the drop down NAV?

I'm using a Mac running OS X 10.2.8 and using Safari 1.0.0 (v85.6). I rarely use IE anymore, although I'll go test the site in there.

Anyone else having that problem?

Hey bing,
The new sites looking better very day! Awesome work.
Question...have we lost the general section? Are we now limited to vehicle specific sections only without one common section? I know the old forum's general section was under used but it was convenient for general off topic stuff that everyone could get in on.
Seeing as how you've asked us to begin posting here, how long will the old site still be active?

I'm noticing that the orange "New Posts" indicator isn't showing up for me here in the CR-V form. My cookies are working since I don't have to log in. I can see the indicator in the Pilot forum only.
I'll also repeat a previous observation. There's a page that displays the general section along with all the forums; CR-V, Element and Pilot...
http://www.hondasuv.com/main2/index.php
...but the only way I can get there is by using the "Mark all forums read" link on the main CR-V forums page. It returns me to that page ONLY if I click on the "return to the index" link on the next temporary page. If I wait for it to return me automatically, it takes me back to the CR-V main page. There seems to be no other way to get to that page.
Bing, a link to this general section would be helpful on the main home page.

Just a heads up on the Delete post thing. I could rarely get that option in the old boards either, but I think I figured it out. If you are the last one to post in thread, you will see an "X" on the far right. (quote, report post, edit, return to top then an "X") You can delete your post UP UNTIL SOMEBODY ELSE POSTS, then your post is locked in. You can still edit the post and erase all the text, but the post will stay.
Just an FYI, I could be wrong, but I could also be the President.

Hey, Bing! The site looks great but I'm having two problems. When I do a search of "items posted since last visit" I get mostly CR-V items, but some Pilot (green) forum links. When I do a search of "all items posted since yesterday" You get one line from each posting in each forum. If a topic gets three posts, there'll be three separate entries instead of one like there used to be. Is it possible to just get the CR-V posts and on the other item just get the one link for each topic instead of each posting inside the topic?
Hi Marc,
Not sure if I'm seeing the same problem as you are.
I fixed some display search issues last night and I don't see duplicate entire even if there are multiple posts within one topic.
However, I do know what you mean about all posts from all forums showing up in the "view all post since last visit". I've set up the new forums differently from the older ones and will need to tweak it further.
Thanks,
Bing

The delete function is for moderators only...that's the power assigned to those helping out.
The edit feature should be in every forum here. The Archived forums on the old site are locked down so nothing can be done there other than just reading.
There are a lot of people reading in the old forums still...more readers than posters. Take a look at the number of guests in the archived section and you'll know what I mean.

Folks, let me see what I can do.
For what it's worth...my boss decided to sell the company that I've been at for the last 3 years...so I'm busy doing all the work to help him get rich ($10M). No, I won't get a penny other than just my salary. Oh well, that's life!
Anyway, when things settle down a bit, I'll see what I can do to fix the site further.
Thanks,
Bing

Hey bing,
Would it be possible to add more detail to the page titles, as seen by the users brouser? Take a look at your brousers back button pull down list. They're all listed with the same title. I use that list a lot. For instance, after posting, I'll use it to go back to the active topics list.

In quite a few of the articles in the CR-V section, the pictures are missing - represented by the red X. For example, the Exterior/Wheels and Tires section is missing many pics from the threads. Can the images be recovered/restored?

Captain,
A lot of those pictures were lost when the server crashed last year. Unfortunately most are gone forever.

Occasionally I can't open a thread. In the past it was related to a specific person posting within the thread. Not sure what is happening now.
Happened to me again today, in Clinical Rounds can't open the idle vibration thread. Very frustrating when you're trying to find an answer to a problem you've been following.
