Does anyone know how or where to look for the exact built date? All I could find is a month/year on the door jam.

Thats probaly the best you will find. You can get a better estimate if you look at specific parts, in the engine compartment for example, which may have a mfg date stamp.

Your car has the month and year and your dealer has exact date of birth

The dealer will have the date your CRV was ordered, the start build date, and the shipping date. My CRV was ordered on 08/31/06, the start build date was 9/05/06, it shipped from Japan 9/25/06 and we took delivery on 10/04/06.
