Greetings,
I just bought a 2003 EX 5-speed and desperately need a driver's side armrest. All of the accessory pages I've looked at say that the armrest is only for the automatics. Any help on this one? I love driving a manual but I find myself resting my hand on the passanger seat when I'm not shifting. My girl doesn't mind, but the gangsta lean is a little much sometimes. Any suggestions?

thanks

When you say accesory pages, do you mean official Honda parts (OEM)? There is only one armrest made and I'm not sure if it will work with a manual. I don't think it is long enough to interfere with shifting though. I never saw a note about it being a problem. afaik the cabana has a note about the rear deflector, and the seat covers have a note for side air bags. I think the interior bike attachment might have a note as well or was that the table legs?

Storage console/armrest is "no problem" with a five-speed and installation is easy. Don't understand what Honda's problem is with this. There is no interference with shifting, but seatbelt fastening, e-brake and cupholder access is somewhat impaired. Same situation with an automatic, so what's the big deal about a stick shift? Armrest pivots out of the way anyhow. H and A Accessories has good prices.

I have a 5 speed and the armrest works fine. I don't know why they say it is just for the automatics. I can't see where it is any problem at all! My EX came with it, but it is exactly the same as the add-on.
