HELP!!! Oil Pressure Sender sizing

Anybody know the thread size of the Oil Pressure Switch. The new pressure sender (after-market) is 1/8-27 NPT, which is too large. The dealer installed a new switch a month or so ago and after removing it I noticed they cross threaded it so I cant use it for a reference. :x

The factory is BSPT, 1/8-28. Autometer has adapters. Hardly anyone uses the adapters though, they just cross thread it in.

I really appreciate your input and information. Belive me it crossed my mind to "custom fit" the sender but I prefer to not force anything, especially anything that can leak oil! The pod is painted & installed and the gauges are wired (no power until the sender is properly fit) and installed as well. The lighting on these gauges looks fantastic. I'll have a few pictures up in my gallerys.
