Just wondering if anyone out there has experience adding xm radio receiver to an '05 Pilot exl w/res. Am trying to add such system without losing any of factory system capabilities (esp. steering wheel controls). Would like to have a setup that doesn't look like a tacky add-on unit plastered onto the front or top of the dash. One suggestion I've heard is to mount receiver in sunglass holder on ceiling. Am wondering how much of a distraction such a location would create while driving, esp. if looking up to change station. Does anyone know if available factory comparable in-dash system (i.e. one that has same features as current system BUT with satellite capability) from newer model Pilot exl/res would work as a simple "swap out" without having to make dash modifications? Any thoughts or experience with such an endeavor would be appreciated. Never thought I needed satellite radio til I recently bought my '07 CRV exl which came std with it; am now hooked, as is my wife! Thanks for any and all replies.
