I inserted the key in to my ignition today and it wouldn't allow me to turn it. I thought it may have been a problem with the car reading a code inside of my key. But, I pressed really hard on the key and it was able to pull through. I was not happy that I had to press it as much as I did for it to turn. When I got home I made the motion again and it stumbled a little bit when I turned it "On". I did this a few times until the key turned perfectly and all problems seem to be resolved. Has anybody had this same issue?

My 1999 CR-V does that some times. Usually caused by turning of the wheels after removing the key. Try moving the steering wheel a little while trying to turn the key the next time it happens.

The coon is right. We first had this problem w/ our 86 Prelude. Scared us the first time it happened, then I read the manual.

This happens to ALL cars. Have you tried it with a car with no power steering?

Next time it happens, move the steering wheel a little and it'll turn real easy.

Maybe when you're exiting your vehicle, you're using the steering wheel as leverage to get out?

I didn't read it in the manual yet (I am 2/3 done with it). I think you all are right. One of my friends at work suggested turning the steering wheel as well. I hope I did not damage anything when I pushed it hard enough so the key would turn LOL. Thanks for the reply!

move the steering wheel, like mentioned above...

EDIT: This happened to my friend Natalie who knows nothing about cars, she had to have her father drive 30 miles to meet her just for him to turn the steering wheel and turn on the car
