View Full Version : CD Player Can't Read Disc

In the process of changing from 1 disc to another, the CD player failed to read/recognize the disc, and kept making some weird noise for about 30 sec. Then the display would say "ERROR". No matter what button I pressed, it always got stuck when reading the disc. Is there any way to resolve this issue? (turning the player on and off didn't work).

Thank you so much!

Eject the disc and try another one.

But the player won't eject the disc...the disc is stuck inside...

Time to take it back to the dealer.
Did you put CD with print-my-own-CD cover sticker on the top of CD?

aywho,
If you had made your own CD, at times, it doesn't recognizes the CD and it will notify you as an error or locks up. If you were to turn power on and off several times, it will eventually kick your CD out. It used to do that to my Acura.

It might get stuck, happened to my friend in his IS before he did anything to it. Apparently some of the CD-Rs and CD-RWs are thicker than regular CDs and can jam up the mechanism... It would make matters worse if you printed your own labels...
