Hey colorider,
I see you also have a V of the Strom kind. Do you hang out at the stromtrooper board too?
I've got a DL1000K6.

Colorider,
How about a picture of your bikes? If you show me yours, I'll show you mine. I have a ST1100.
We may need a motorbike thread on the Off Topics section.

I also have silver with black leather.... Love the look! Congratws and much good luck with yours. It's probably going to be ok as far as the diff problem as I think that only applied to the first ones from Japan. Now that mine is fixed, I love the car! We've finally gotten into some cold weather (10 degrees) and the heat is fabulous, throw in heated seats, and it's nice and toasty in the new V! Enjoy!

Cool!!!! Yes, I'm on Stromtrooper and VSRI as well (my user ID is "colostrom"). I had a K3 for about a year - sold it - regretted it - went for a year without and then bought my K4 about 3 months ago.

Neat!!! What year is your ST? The 1100 is a FANTASTIC bike! I have only had my 1300 since February but rode 1100's since 1991.

Sorry about high jacking mad_scientist's thread. :)
Here it is. 1992. I've had it since new. Over 100K KM's. This picture is three years old, but it still looks as good today. (Only the tires have changed. )
Came close to trading when the 1300's came out, but could not part with it. I don't ride as much anymore. No long trips.
I rode a ST when they first came out in 1990. Honda test rides at a Rider Magazine rally in Kentucky. I was blown away. That bike was made for me. And vice versa. Had a GW then. Wanted to make the change immediately, and test rode at every rally for the next couple years. Then I could not wait any longer. Never sorry. Never a problem.

Nice looking bike. I hope mine is that clean in 2 years. I'm at Stromtrooper and VSRI as well. Go by Heavy at both sites. Here's mine:

Yes - sorry for the hi-jack!!! We will need to continue this over in one of the off-topic areas.
My story goes back to 1990 as well when the first (black) 1991 ST's hit the US dealers. I couldn't quite get into the black but as soon as the silver ones came out in early 1991 - I had to have one. I owned it untl 1998 when I traded for a new one. I drifted off course a couple times (two GW's and one BMW), but kept coming back to ST's!

Sweet!!! Is that the stock seat, or one off a 650? Mine has a 650 seat (on it when I bought it), but I would like to put a 1000 seat on it again.
