I would like to get a count of those who are experiencing the grinding in the differential during sharp turns on the new CRV 2007. Post a message stating that you have had the problem. Discussions concerning the problem should be limited to the other thread on this topic.

Just read the threads already started by the others that have had the issue.

The idea is to get an easy count. Don't post unless you have had the issue.

Maybe not that easy. I've got a mild vibration that I believe is coming from the rear since I feel it more in the seat than in the wheel.

But, I don't have any discernable rear diff noise.

Do I have "the issue"?

Maybe you'll hear the grinding when it gets cold, thats when mine started. I also perceive some vibration in the seat when driving. I'll see if that clears up when the dealer puts in the new differential. See the other post I just put in.

They just fixed the car today. It only took 3 days. I will be picking it up tonight. They replaced the rear TCD (traction control differential). Their internal tech line recommended the repair. I will tell you if I sense the vibrations post repair.

I have had the problem, although it only occured a few times before I got it into the dealer. It only took them a day to put in the new differential cover kit which consisted of all the internals in the rear end including the gears and dual fluid pump in the rear differential as it was explained to me. So far, so good.

Maybe posting a poll would be a better idea if you just want numbers?

Had it n the shop at 700 miles (they changed diff oil) , 1200 (they changed dual pump) and now about 1400 miles still grinds, vibrates and makes noise. Also Car is pulling to the right and also get the vibrating noise behind the sunroof section. I really like this CR-V but its a lemon. :(

It's not a lemon yet, check your local laws....

I developed the cold weather vibration after about 2200 miles. I took it to the dealer and they flushed the rear diff (twice). The noise and vibration have noth returned since (around 2100 miles more since then).

Apparently, the rear-diff vibration is common to all generations of CR-v's, not just the 2007. Most of the time, it can be corrected with a power flush of the old fluid and new fluid put in.

The only time it appears in 1st and 2nd Gen CR-Vs is when the rear differential fluid needs to be replaced. And while there were a number of 2005 and 2006 CR-V owners that have reported needing rear differential fluid changes as early as 10,000 miles, I don't remember any that have changed it twice in the first 5,000 miles and are still having a vibration/grinding noise problem.

It is true that some CR-V owners found it required 2-3 fluid changes, with some driving between changes, to completely eliminate the vibration/noise. But that was only after a significant number of miles of driving with the noise already present (10's of thousands of miles, not hundreds of miles). But in all cases, the vibration/noise was evident immediately after the initial fluid change (although usually reduced somewhat). None that I remember had the vibration/noise disappear after a fluid change and then reappear a few thousand miles later.

I hate to say this, but I don't think your problem has been fixed.
